Azaan Motor Driving School

Driving in Hyderabad is something else, and if you have ever been near Darulshifa X Road, you know exactly what I mean. Azaan Motor Driving School is right there at 22-1-103/7/1, just beside Masjid E Haji Kaman. It’s a very busy spot. We spend our days in the car, mostly teaching people how to manage the clutch and the brakes without panicking when a rickshaw cuts them off. The area around the mosque is always crowded, so our students get a lot of practice with low-speed maneuvering and staying calm. It’s not like those fancy schools with simulators; we just get right into the actual streets. The cars are older, and they have seen a lot of miles, but they work well for learning. I usually meet people near the X road and we go from there. It can be quite hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the lessons done early or later in the day when the sun isn't so direct. Sometimes the students are nervous, and sometimes they think they know everything already. I just sit in the passenger seat with my own set of pedals, making sure we don't bump into anything. It is a lot of patience, honestly. You see all sorts of people wanting to learn, from young kids to older folks who finally decided they need to drive. We just take it one turn at a time. It’s a loud, busy, and very real way to learn.
