Ayyappa Kirana

Ayyappa Kirana is a small shop located at 14-3-118 in the Goshamahal area of Hyderabad. It’s been sitting on this corner for as long as I can remember. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We sell the basic things that every household requires, like soaps, grains, and some tinned goods. I usually open the shop early in the morning and stay until the street lights have been on for a while. The neighborhood is a mix of different people, and they all seem to need something different every day. I spend a lot of time rearranging the stock because we always seem to run out of room on the shelves. Sometimes the fan makes a clicking noise that drives me a bit crazy, but I haven't found the time to fix it yet. We aren't trying to compete with the big malls or anything like that. We just provide a place where you can get your groceries quickly without having to walk too far. I use an old ledger to keep track of my accounts, and my handwriting isn't the best, but I can read it. It’s a simple business, and it keeps me on my feet. I don't really think about it much more than that. It’s just what I do to make a living and serve the local folks.
