Ashoka Innovazi Foundation

We are based out in Malkapur, which is a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the center of Hyderabad. Specifically, we're located within the Ashok Sailaja Educational Society area in Choutuppal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri. It’s a 508252 zip code area. The Ashoka Innovazi Foundation isn't some big corporate thing. It's just a group of us working out of this space. The commute can be a bit much with the highway traffic, but it’s quieter out here than in the city. We have a few rooms where we keep everything running. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so we have to wait on emails, but the work moves along regardless. We share some space and ideas with the educational society people next door. It’s a practical setup. We spend our days looking at projects and trying to figure out how to make things work better with what we have. There’s a lot of tea drinking and talking around a big wooden table. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that, just us doing the daily tasks. If someone walks in, they’ll probably find us sorting through files or on the phone with someone from the local government. It’s not glamorous, but it is what we do. We've been here for a while and the locals know where to find us if they need something.
