Arunodaya Driving School

SD Road is always busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to get to work. We’ve been here at Arunodaya Driving School for a good while now. Teaching people how to handle a car in Hyderabad traffic isn't the easiest job in the world, but it is what we do every single day. Sometimes the students are really nervous, and you can see them gripping the steering wheel so hard their knuckles turn white. We just tell them to relax and breathe. Our office on Sarojini Devi Road is pretty simple, nothing fancy inside. It’s got a few plastic chairs and some old charts on the wall about road signs and safety rules. Most days, it’s just the sound of the traffic outside and the ceiling fan spinning overhead. We spend a lot of time out on the road though. You get to know every pothole and tricky turn in this part of town after a few years of doing this. It’s funny how people think driving is just about moving the car, but it’s really about watching everyone else. We see all sorts of people here, from young kids finally turning eighteen to older folks who never got around to learning. It keeps things interesting. The heat gets a bit much in the summer, but we keep going. There's usually a tea stall nearby where we take short breaks. It's just a regular life here, helping people get their licenses.
