Ar General Store

If you know King Koti Main Road in Hyderabad, you probably know how busy it gets. Ar General Store is right there at Shop No 1, which is practically next door to the Traffic Police Station. Because of that, we hear whistles and sirens all day long. It's a very active spot. The shop itself is quite modest. We have the usual things like notebooks, pens, and all kinds of groceries packed into the shelves. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when the delivery guys bring in new crates of cold drinks. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to think about that. Most of our customers are locals who live in the apartments around King Koti or people just passing through on their way to work. It’s funny how you get to know what someone is going to buy before they even ask for it. We keep things simple here. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that hum while we work. In the evenings, when the traffic outside is at its worst, the shop feels like a little escape for people to grab some bread or milk before heading home. It's just a basic store run by regular people who are trying to keep things organized in a chaotic city.
