This location in Jubilee Hills is the hub for the emergency paramedic and ambulance control. It’s part of the wider emergency department, and things here are pretty intense most of the time. We don't really have a "normal" office atmosphere because everything depends on the phones and the sirens. When a call comes in, the whole place moves a bit faster. The drivers are usually sitting nearby, waiting for the next dispatch. There are maps on the walls and radios that never seem to go quiet. It’s not the kind of place where you sit down for a long lunch. We mostly eat at our desks or standing up while checking the logs. The building itself is functional, built to get people in and out of ambulances quickly. There’s a lot of heavy equipment around and the smell of cleaning supplies is always strong. We don't worry about making the place look pretty; we just need it to work. Sometimes it gets really stressful when multiple calls come in at once, but we just handle them one by one. It’s a 24-hour operation, so the lights never go off. The night shift can be just as busy as the day. We’re just here to coordinate the vehicles and make sure the paramedics have what they need before they head out into the city traffic. It is loud and fast, but that is just the job.
