Anokha School

Anokha School is situated right in the middle of a residential area in Attapur. Our address is Mig 260, House No 4-7-152, which can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't familiar with the street numbers here in Hyderabad. It’s basically a converted house, so it has a very different feel than those big international schools with huge walls. We have a small gate and a little bit of space out front where the kids wait for their parents. Inside, the rooms are cozy and we've turned them into classrooms. Being in a MIG colony means it’s mostly families living around us. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day. Sometimes a vegetable vendor passes by shouting his prices while a lesson is going on. We don't have a giant playground, so the kids make do with the space we have. It’s a very local operation. Most of the staff live nearby, so they just walk or take a short rickshaw ride to get here. The 500048 area has grown a lot lately, but this little pocket stays mostly the same. We try to keep things tidy, but with students running around, there's always a stray pencil or a notebook left behind. It’s just a plain, honest place for learning without any of the extra fluff you see elsewhere. People just call us the school in the MIG colony. We just get on with things and hope for the best.
