Anitha Steels

Anitha Steels is right over at 5-2-199-200 in the Ranigunj area. We are very close to the Ram Mandir, so you can often hear the temple bells throughout the day while we are working. The shop is located in a part of town that is known for metal and hardware, so it fits right in. We have stacks of steel bars and sheets that we move around using a lot of muscle. It is a heavy job and it can be quite tiring by the end of the day. The building is older and has that specific smell of metal and dust that you find in these kinds of places. We spend our time cutting pieces to size or loading them onto small rickshaws for delivery. Ranigunj is a maze of narrow streets, so getting the bigger trucks in can be a real headache sometimes. We have been here for many years and have seen the market change quite a bit. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us for a long time. It is not a fancy place with air conditioning or nice furniture. We just have a counter and some ledgers where we keep track of everything. It is a lot of honest work and we stay pretty busy from the moment we open the shutters in the morning. We just try to keep enough stock so people can find what they need for their projects.
