Anitha General Store

This shop, Anitha General Store, sits right at the King Koti X Roads in Hyderabad. If you are looking for us, we are right across from the Sai Baba General Store, so it is hard to miss the location once you get to the intersection. It’s a lively spot with plenty of people walking past at all hours. We keep the doors open for anyone needing household basics or something quick to eat. The shop isn't very big, but we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves so people don't have to go far. It gets dusty being right near the road, so there is always some cleaning to do. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the store stays pretty much the same. People come in for a pack of biscuits or maybe some soap, and we just hand it over and chat for a second if it's not too busy. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear, but we manage. Being at 4-2-225 means we get a lot of foot traffic from the main road. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. Just a simple place where you can find what you need. Managing the stock takes up most of the morning, then we just wait for the afternoon rush. It’s just a normal way to earn a living here in King Koti. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use candles, but that's just part of life.
