Andhra Trading Co

Our office is on the first floor over in Ranigunj, right on Hill Street. If you know Old Ghasmandi, you know how crowded it gets around here. Andhra Trading Co has been in this spot for a while. It’s an old building, 5-1-242, and the stairs are a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We spend the day on the phone or talking to people who drop by. Trading is mostly about knowing who has what and where it needs to go. It gets noisy with all the traffic outside, but you get used to the horns and the shouting from the market below. We have desks piled with papers and some samples sitting in the corner. It's not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s where the work happens. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to wait to send emails. We eat lunch together right at the desks most days. There is a small tea stall downstairs that makes the best ginger tea, so we go there a lot. Being in Ranigunj means you see everyone. We’ve known the guys in the shops next door for years. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to get the orders right and keep things moving. It’s a lot of back and forth, but that’s the trading business for you. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily load of paperwork and phone calls.
