Ameeruddin Wood Crafts Works

Our place, Ameeruddin Wood Crafts Works, is tucked away in Erragadda. The address is Dr.No.8-4-544/5/5, which sounds more complicated than it actually is once you get near the ESI hospital. We are in the AG Colony area. It’s a busy part of town, but our little corner is mostly just about the work. There’s always the sound of a lathe or a saw running. It’s not a quiet neighborhood. We have piles of timber that come in and then we spend the days turning them into something useful. The floor is never really clean because as soon as you sweep, more shavings fall down. We don’t have a receptionist or anyone like that. Usually, it’s just us with our tools. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually have a tarp hung up to keep the heat out. We don’t do much advertising. People mostly find us because they live nearby or someone told them about the shop near the colony. We just focus on the wood and getting the joints right. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the streetlights come on. Nothing too special about it, just a local wood shop. It has been like this for years now.
