The shop is right here at Pather Gatti, just across from the Madina Building. It is an old spot, and we have been at this address, 22-7-171/172, for quite some time now. Dealing with darries and floor coverings is just what we do every day. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded outside with all the traffic and people moving toward the building across the street, but we stay busy inside. Most mornings start with dusting off the stacks and making sure everything is in its place. It isn't a fancy showroom with big lights or anything like that. It is just a regular place where you can find a lot of different mats and rugs piled up high. We spend a lot of time just moving rolls around and talking to people who walk in looking for something for their home. The floor is usually covered in some kind of fabric or thread because that is the nature of the work. We know the neighbors well and the tea guy comes by twice a day. It is a bit loud outside because of the main road, but that is just how Pather Gatti is. People come and go all day. We keep the doors open so the air moves through, though it gets quite hot in the afternoons. It is a simple setup, nothing too complicated. We just focus on the stock we have and try to keep things organized enough so we can find what someone asks for without too much digging.
