Being near the Ring Road means it is always noisy with the sound of trucks and cars passing by. Our office for Aditya Birla Retail Ltd is right in the middle of all that activity. It is a functional spot, nothing too special to look at. We have the usual office setup with some old computers and a lot of ledgers. Most of us come from the surrounding parts of Hyderabad, so we know the area well. The building itself is quite sturdy, though the stairs can be a bit of a workout. We spend our days managing the retail side of things, which involves a lot of phone calls and checking on shipments. There is no marketing team here telling us what to say; we are just the people who do the actual work. Lunch is usually a quick affair, and then it is back to the files. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is common around here, so we just take a break until it comes back. It is a very down-to-earth environment where we just focus on getting through the daily list of chores. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we don’t mind too much.
