A. L. Associates

Our office is over at Plot No. 416 in Padmawati Plaza. If you’ve ever been near the Kphb Bus Stand in Kukatpally, you know how crazy the traffic gets. It’s always a bit of a scramble getting into the building in the mornings. A. L. Associates is just a few rooms where we handle our daily business. We’ve got some computers that have seen better days and a water cooler that’s always half empty. Being so close to the bus stand means there’s a constant hum of engines and people shouting outside, which you just get used to after a week. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, even with the windows open. Sometimes we go downstairs for a quick tea when things get too quiet or too stressful. The plaza itself is usually busy with people coming and going for different things. We don't have any big signs or flashing lights, just our name on the door and some files stacked up inside. It’s a practical space. Nothing fancy about it at all. Most of us have been working together here for a while, so we know each other's habits pretty well. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the pile of work that never seems to get any smaller.
