Jr. Associate Consultant

I am working out of the office on Law College Road in Pune. It is actually part of C.B Deshpande’s place, number 46/9, which is quite close to Nalstop. If you know Pune, you know how hectic that junction can get with the metro work and the general chaos of the traffic. The office itself is in one of those older residential buildings that people have turned into workspaces. It has high ceilings and those old-style windows that let in a bit of a breeze if the weather is nice. As a junior associate consultant, my desk is usually piled high with papers and my laptop is always open. It isn’t some corporate glass tower; it feels more like a home that someone put desks into. The neighborhood is actually quite nice, with a lot of trees and some decent places to get a quick coffee or some poha in the morning. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow when everyone is online, but we manage. I spend a lot of time on the phone or just typing out reports. It is a quiet kind of work most of the time, punctuated by the sounds of horns honking down by Nalstop. We don’t have a big reception or anything, just a door you knock on. It is a practical setup for the kind of consulting we do. Most days, I am just trying to finish my tasks before the evening rush hour makes the commute home impossible.
