Strawberry Fields Pre Primary School

Out here in Vidyanagar, near Unkal, we have been running Strawberry Fields Pre Primary School for some years now. It’s a quiet part of Hubli compared to the main market areas, which is nice for a school. We focus on the little ones, the ones just starting out before they head off to the bigger primary schools. The building is a regular size, nothing massive, but it has enough room for the different age groups we have. We spend a lot of time on the basics like ABCs and 123s, but mostly we just try to get the children used to being around other kids. There is a lot of playing involved. We have some outdoor space where they can run around when the weather is good. Inside, the walls are covered with the kids' drawings and some educational posters that have seen better days. It’s a very local operation. Most of the parents live nearby in the Unkal area, so we see them walking their kids over every morning. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; people usually find us by word of mouth or by just passing by. It’s a simple setup. We have desks, chairs, and lots of blocks. We keep a routine with snack times and nap times because that seems to help the day go smoother. It’s just a normal neighborhood school where we know everyone’s name and their parents too.
