Only Fish

Our place is called Only Fish and we are tucked away in Vidyanagar, Hubli. If you know where the Timmasagar Temple is, we are just behind it on the 1st cross. Nandagokul is the name of the building. We’ve been running this for some time now. It’s a quiet street usually, except when there’s a festival at the temple. We get our fish fresh and that’s pretty much the main thing we do here. It’s a small shop, not one of those big restaurants with a hundred waiters. Just us. We start early to get everything ready for the lunch crowd. Hubli people know their food, so we try to just keep it simple. The kitchen isn't huge but we make it work. Sometimes the smell of frying fish carries down the crossroad. We see a lot of regular faces from around the neighborhood. It feels like a small community here. You walk in, grab a seat if there’s one free, and eat. We don’t have any fancy decor or anything. Just some tables and chairs. It’s honest work. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the evening. That’s just how it is when you don't want to keep old stock. If you’re coming from the main road, just look for the temple and head behind it. We’ll be there in the back. We just do the cooking and hope people like what we make. It’s a simple life for us here in Hubli.
