Anil Engineering Works

You will find Anil Engineering Works sitting right behind the R. M. Joshi Petrol Bunk on Lamington Road. It is a very busy part of town and our shop is usually covered in oil and dark grease. We spend most of our time working on engine parts and doing different kinds of lathe work for people who stop by. The machines we use are quite old, but they work perfectly fine if you know how to handle them properly. My uncle was the one who opened this place many years ago and things haven't changed much since then. We have heavy tools scattered around and lots of old spare parts kept in wooden boxes. It is mostly mechanical stuff, like fixing things that have worn out or broken from long use. Drivers bring in parts from their trucks or local machines that need a bit of work. It gets really loud when we have all the equipment running at once. We don't have a nice waiting room, just a simple bench near the front where people sit and talk while we take a look at their equipment. The floor is often slippery from the oil and coolant, so you have to watch your step. We usually close the shutters around sunset unless there is a job that we really need to finish before the next morning. It is hard manual work and our hands are always dirty, but it's a good way to live.
