Foodz

We are over in Hubli at S M Point. It’s on the 80 Feet Road in Shirur Park, 2nd Stage. It’s a growing area in Vidyanagar. We are right below the Karnataka Bank, so we get a lot of people who are finished with their banking business. The road outside is wide but it still gets busy. We started Foodz because we wanted a place in this part of town. It’s not a very large space, but we make it work. We have some outdoor seating too, which is nice when the weather isn't too hot. The dust from the road is a bit of a problem sometimes. We spend a lot of time cleaning. The staff are all locals from around Hubli. We don't have a fancy menu with photos. It's just a printed sheet. Sometimes we change things based on what we can get at the market. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media manager. It’s just us. People hear about us from their neighbors. The bank upstairs keeps things busy during the day. In the evenings, it’s mostly families from Shirur Park. We just keep the lights on and the kitchen going. It’s a straightforward business and we just take it one day at a time. The 80 Feet Road has changed a lot since we first opened, but we’re still here doing our thing. We focus on the day ahead and that's it.
