Vidya Sagar Hospital

Tucked away at 14/1 Tripuraroy Lane, Vidya Sagar Hospital sits right in the heart of Salkia. Howrah is always crowded, and our little lane is no exception to that rule. You really have to know the way to find us the first time, as the turns can be a bit confusing for someone not from around here. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time, watching the shops change hands and the neighborhood kids grow up. The hospital itself is a bit of a squeeze, but we make use of every inch of space we have. We see a lot of people from the local market and the houses nearby. It’s a noisy neighborhood, with horns honking and people shouting, but once you step inside our doors, it gets a little quieter. The stairs are a bit narrow, so people have to be careful going up and down between the floors. Our reception is just a small desk where someone is always sitting, ready to take a name. We don’t have a big fancy lobby, just enough room for a few people to wait. The doctors here have been seeing some of these families for decades. It’s more of a community thing than anything else. We deal with the usual coughs, scrapes, and regular stuff that happens to people. It’s an honest day’s work for all of us, and we just try to keep everyone on their feet and healthy.
