Tractors India Limited has its spot over in Subhas Pally, right in the Puila area near Howrah. If you’re coming from Post Unsani, it’s not too far of a drive from there. We’ve been operating out of this West Bengal location for a while now. Most days it’s just the sound of machines and people talking about engine parts or delivery schedules. It gets pretty busy, especially when the season changes and everyone around here needs their gear ready for the fields. The office is very straightforward. We don't spend any money on leather chairs or anything like that. We’d much rather focus on the actual tractors and making sure every order is in order. It’s a bit of a dusty job sometimes, but someone has to do it. The crew here is mostly local guys from Andul-Mouri and the surrounding parts of Howrah. We know the roads and we know the people. Sometimes the traffic near the bridge makes things go slow, but we manage to get things done eventually. We aren't trying to be the biggest thing in the world, just a reliable place where you can get what you need without a lot of fuss. People around here know us by name, which is how we like it. It feels more like a community than a corporation to us. We show up early, drink some tea, and get right to work. That’s the daily routine here. It’s a living.
