The Bengal Basket Co.

The Bengal Basket Co. is over at 61, Ashutosh Mukherjee Lane. This is in Salkia. It is one of those lanes that can be a bit narrow and crowded if you aren’t used to the local layout. We have been at this spot for a while. It’s a neighborhood where you see the same faces every morning when you open up. People are walking to the markets or just hanging around talking to their neighbors. It’s not a place for big trucks or lots of fancy cars. We like it that way because it feels like a community. Inside the building at number 61, we have our space set up. It’s a bit tight sometimes when we have a lot of stuff going on, but we make it work somehow. Salkia is a busy area with a lot of history in the bricks. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. Children playing, people shouting to each other, and the usual city noises. We don’t have a big front desk or a receptionist to greet you. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see us working on whatever is on the table. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look perfect for guests. We just focus on getting the daily tasks done. The lane can be a bit tricky to find if it’s your first time here, but once you know it, it’s easy. We are just a small part of this lane.
