Sristi Boutique

If you walk down Kali Prosad Banerjee Lane, you will find us at No. 38/1. It is a narrow street, and sometimes it is hard to park a scooter outside, but it is home for Sristi Boutique. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. The room is filled with rolls of cloth and different colored threads everywhere you look. We mostly do tailoring for the local women, making suits, blouses, and whatever else they need for weddings or just daily wear. It’s often just the sound of the scissors cutting through fabric and the foot pedals of the machines. We don't have a big sign or anything too flashy, just our work piled up on the shelves. People usually hear about us from their friends or family who live nearby. Sometimes a customer brings in a photo of a dress they saw and asks if we can make something similar, and we do our best with what we have. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan on high and keep working until it’s time to close up. We aren't trying to be a big brand, just a local shop where you can get your clothes fixed or made. It’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring to make sure things fit, which can be tiring, but it's part of the job. We enjoy being a small part of life here on the lane.
