Howrah Computer Service

We run Howrah Computer Service over in Shivpur, right near the Dalalpukur area. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you know where the pond is. The shop is filled with cables, old monitors, and various tools we use to fix things. It’s not the most organized place in the world, as there are always parts lying around from whatever we are working on at the moment. We’ve been fixing computers here for quite a few years now. Most of the people who come in are neighbors or people from just down the road. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy sign; most people just hear about us from someone else. The shop can get a bit warm in the summer with all the machines running, but we have a small fan that helps. It's a lot of sitting at a workbench and looking at motherboards. We try to be honest about what can be fixed and what is just junk. Sometimes we have a backlog of repairs, so the shelves get a bit crowded with towers and laptops. We don't use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to folks. We just tell them what’s wrong and how much it will cost to get it running again. It’s a simple service for the Shivpur community. We just keep at it every day and try to help people out.
