Serampore Sub Division Hospital

You can find the Serampore Sub Division Hospital on T.C. Goswami Street. It is one of those big public buildings that everyone in the area knows about. Being a sub division hospital means we are always dealing with a lot of people coming in for all sorts of health issues. From the early morning, there is usually a line at the registration counter. The hallways are long and can get a bit noisy with people moving around and nurses carrying supplies. We have different sections for things like the emergency ward and general medicine. The building has some age to it and you can see that in the walls and the old floors. We don't have the fancy decor of private clinics but we have the doctors and medicine people need. T.C. Goswami Street is a central spot so getting here isn't too hard for most locals. We handle everything from minor cuts to people staying overnight in the wards. It gets quite hot in the summer months and the fans are always spinning. The staff works hard to keep up with the number of patients. It is a busy life here and there is rarely a quiet moment. We see people from all walks of life coming through the gates every single day. It is just a functional place meant to serve the community here in Serampore. Most of the time we are just focused on the next patient in line.
