I’ve been living in Santragachi for a long time now. People around here know me because I’m usually seen with my camera hanging around my neck. It started out as a hobby, just taking pictures of the station or the birds near the water, but then neighbors started asking me to take photos of their kids or family gatherings. I don't have a big fancy studio with bright lights and assistants. It is mostly just me and my gear. Sometimes I get help from a friend if the event is big, but usually, I like to handle things myself. I try to catch people as they are, without making them pose in weird ways that feel stiff. I know the local spots around here that look good in the evening light. I don't spend hours editing things until they look fake. I just want the colors to be right and the faces to be clear. If you walk past my place, you might see me cleaning my lenses. It’s not a huge operation, just a local guy trying to do a good job with his camera. I take bookings for weddings or small parties, and I try to stay busy. My schedule gets a bit messy sometimes but I always show up on time. Photography is what I do, and I'm glad I can do it right here where I grew up. It keeps me connected to the people in the neighborhood and that’s what matters to me.
