R. K. Traders

We are located on Howrah Amta Road, right in the Dasnagar area. If you know the neighborhood, you know it’s always crowded with traffic and people going to work. R. K. Traders isn’t a fancy name, and our shop isn’t fancy either. It’s a basic building where we keep all our stock. We deal with a lot of different goods, so the space is usually packed from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit hard to move around when a new shipment arrives. We don’t have a website or a big marketing plan. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for years or someone told them about us. The walls have some stains, and the floor is worn down from all the heavy boxes being dragged across it. We spend our days talking to suppliers and making sure the orders are ready for the local shops. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road outside a mess, but we keep the doors open anyway. It’s a family-run sort of place, and we don’t have a bunch of managers or strict rules. We just get the work done. You’ll usually find us sitting near the entrance with a ledger or a phone in hand. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trading what people need to keep their own businesses going.
