Om Steel Emporium

Om Steel Emporium is situated at 17/7 Ashu Bose Lane, which is just off Berales Road. It’s an older part of the neighborhood, and the lane can be a bit tight for larger deliveries, but we make it work. We’ve got stacks of steel and various metal items piled up inside. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be organized about where everything goes. Usually, there’s a bit of noise from the metal being moved or cut to size for someone who walked in. We see all sorts of people, from local builders to folks just needing a small piece of steel for a home repair. Berales Road stays busy, and sometimes the traffic makes it hard to get stuff loaded, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street. There’s a specific smell to the shop—iron and old dust—that stays with you. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where every specific rod and sheet is kept. We don't do much in the way of fancy displays. If you need steel, you come in, ask for the size, and we find it for you. Most of our day is spent handling the inventory and chatting with the regulars who live around Ashu Bose Lane. It’s a straightforward business, and we like it that way. We just try to keep the shop running smoothly for whoever stops by. It's noisy and dusty, but it's home to us.
