We are located at Tirupati Bhavan, which is on Sarat Chatterjee Road in Howrah. Our office is on the second floor, in Flat 6. It’s a fairly straightforward place. There isn't a lot of extra space, so we have to be pretty careful about where we put all the paperwork that comes in. As chartered accountants, we seem to collect a lot of paper despite everyone talking about going digital. Sarat Chatterjee Road is usually quite busy, but once you get inside Tirupati Bhavan, it’s a bit quieter. We spend our days mostly looking at balance sheets and trying to figure out tax problems for our clients. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. The office has a few desks and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don’t spend much time on decorating or trying to look impressive. We’d rather just focus on making sure the audits are done right. We’ve got a small group of people working here, and we’ve all been doing this for a long time. If you’re looking for a fancy corporate office with a coffee machine in the lobby, this isn't it. We just have a kettle and some local biscuits. It’s a practical workspace for practical people. We like being in this part of Howrah because it’s easy for our clients to drop off their documents and have a quick chat about their accounts.
