Little Mee Elegant Basics

We are located on the 2nd floor at 41 Rose Merry Lane in Howrah. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we like it up here. Little Mee Elegant Basics is our little project. We focus on simple things, the basics that everyone needs. The lane outside can be quite noisy with all the usual Howrah bustle, but it’s a bit quieter once you get inside and up to the second floor. The rooms are filled with our stock, and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit down. We don't have any polished sales pitches or anything like that. We just show people the items we have. It’s a practical business. We spend a lot of time sorting through fabrics and making sure everything is in its right place. The windows are old and sometimes they rattle when a heavy truck goes by downstairs. We’ve grown fond of this place over the time we’ve been here. It’s not a fancy boutique with bright lights; it’s more like a workshop where things actually get done. We drink our tea by the window and look out at the rooftops of Howrah. It’s a good way to spend the day. We don't try to be something we aren't, just a local spot making basics. If you find yourself on Rose Merry Lane, you’ll know where we are.
