Bengal Exportica is our small operation located at 51/4 Brindaban Mullick Lane. We are right by the Kadamtala Power House, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. We spend our days dealing with leather items and various craft ornaments. Because of the leather, there’s often a specific smell in the air here, but we’ve grown to like it over the years. Our workspace is more of a practical area than a fancy showroom. We have samples of our crafts sitting on shelves and boxes of leather goods waiting to be inspected. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes with all the inventory, but we make it work. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle these products. We check the stitching on the leather and make sure the ornaments look right before they get packed up. Brindaban Mullick Lane is usually quiet compared to the main roads, which is nice for getting work done without too much distraction. We don't use any complicated marketing talk. We just explain what we have and get it ready for shipping. It’s honest work and we take our time to make sure things aren't rushed. It’s a simple setup but it serves us well.
