Devi Export Pvt. Ltd. is situated at 1/1 Harduttrai Chamariya Road. It’s an address that sounds a bit long, but it’s just a standard building where we have our main office. The street can get pretty congested with trucks and rickshaws, especially in the mornings. We do a lot of exporting, which involves a lot of back-and-forth with the port authorities. It’s mostly computer work these days, but we still have a lot of ledgers lying around. I’ve worked here for a few years, and the routine is pretty much the same. We come in, check the emails, and start tracking where the containers are. The office has a small kitchen area where we make tea about four times a day. We don't have fancy furniture, just some old wooden desks that are very sturdy. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and talk until the generator kicks in. It’s a small group of us, so we all know what everyone else is doing. We don't use big words or try to act like a huge corporation. We just move goods from one place to another and make sure the paperwork is legal and correct. It’s a steady job. Most of our neighbors on the road are doing similar things, so we all get along well enough and help each other out.
