Modern Engineering Works

Our shop is tucked away on Brindaban Mullick Lane at number 64. If you’re looking for us, the Ichapur water tank is the best thing to watch out for since it towers over everything else in the area. Modern Engineering Works has been operating out of this spot for quite a while now. The lane can be a bit tight, especially when we have parts being delivered or when the neighbors are moving things around. It’s mostly iron dust and the sound of machines running once you step inside. We don't have a fancy front office or anything like that. It’s just a workshop where we get the jobs done. Usually, you’ll find a few of us covered in grease or checking measurements on a blueprint. Some days are longer than others, especially when a machine breaks down or we have a big order to finish by the end of the week. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of the neighborhood, the way the light hits the street in the afternoon, and the local tea stall where we go for breaks. It isn't always pretty, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep, but it’s a real place where actual work happens. People from around here know us as the guys who just keep at it day after day. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to for a specific design.
