Jia Fashion World

Our shop Jia Fashion World is sitting right out here on NH-6 in Ranihati. If you know the Biki Hakola area in Panchla, then you probably know where we are. It’s a busy road with lots of trucks passing by all day and night. We started this because we wanted a place for local people to find decent clothes without having to travel too far into the city. The dust from the highway gets into everything so we’re constantly cleaning the glass windows and the racks. It’s a small space but we make it work. Most of the time it’s just one or two of us behind the counter. We get a lot of travelers stopping in because they saw the sign from the road and needed a break. It’s not a fancy boutique with mood lighting or anything like that. We just have racks of clothes and some mirrors. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit by the door to catch the light. Panchla is a good place to be even if the traffic is a headache. We know most of the neighbors by now. People come in for a chat as much as they do for shopping. We try to keep things simple and honest. There’s no big secret to how we run things. We just open up in the morning and see who comes by. It’s a decent way to spend our days. We are just here doing our thing on the highway.
