Jangloo Chandak Creation

Our spot is over on Ashutosh Bose Lane in Shibpur. It’s number 20. If you know Howrah, you know these lanes can be pretty narrow and crowded. Jangloo Chandak Creation has been tucked away here for some time now. It’s not a glamorous setup. We have a lot of stuff piled up in the corners, and the lights sometimes flicker when the rain is heavy. It’s a typical Howrah workspace. We spend most of our time dealing with the daily tasks. There’s always someone coming in or out with a delivery. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-work, maybe drinking some chai from the shop around the corner. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just have things to make and orders to fill. The noise from the street is always there, but you get used to it after a week. Sometimes the heat in the summer gets to us, but we keep the fans going and stay on top of the pile. It’s just a group of us working hard in a small space. We know the neighbors and the local tea seller. It’s a community. That’s how we’ve always operated and it seems to work fine for what we do. We aren't big on meetings or plans, we just get on with the day and try to stay organized.
