Jagadish Narayan Singh

My name is Jagadish Narayan Singh, and I run my business from 25 1 Mahendra Bagchi Road in Bally. It’s a familiar street in the Bangla area, postcode 711201. I’ve been here in this neighborhood for most of my life, and this is where I decided to set up my work. It’s a very local operation. The building is old, and you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long—the street vendors, the children playing, and the neighbors talking. I don't have a big staff or a fancy corporate structure. It’s mostly just me handling things as they come. I use the front room as my office, and it’s filled with all the things I’ve collected over the years. My work involves a lot of coordination and talking to people in the community. I don't go in for big marketing or try to act like I'm a giant company. I’m just a local man doing my job. People know where to find me if they need help or have a question. I usually keep the door open during the day so anyone can walk in. It’s a very informal way of working, but it’s how we do things in Bally. I take pride in being a part of this street. It’s not always easy, but it’s my life and I enjoy the daily rhythm of it. Sometimes the neighbors bring in a snack or some tea while I'm working, and we just chat for a bit. It's a good place to be.
