We handle finance stuff here, which means we spend a lot of time looking at ledgers and spreadsheets. It’s not the kind of thing that makes for great stories, but it’s what we are good at. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many boxes of old records, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If someone comes by, one of us just gets up from our desk to see what they need. We usually make our own tea in the corner and talk about what’s happening in the city. The traffic on Cowies Ghat Road can get pretty bad in the evenings, so we sometimes stay a bit late just to let it clear out. It’s just a regular office where we get through the daily grind. We aren't looking to change much about how we operate. It’s been working fine for us so far, and we like being part of the Shibpur community.
