Feige Business Advisors is based in Shibpur, Howrah. We are located at 32 Shibtala Lane, which used to be the late Shital Chandra Banerjee’s place. It’s an old neighborhood with narrow lanes and a lot of history in every corner. Working here feels very different than being in a big glass tower in Kolkata. We deal with business advice and helping people with their company stuff. It’s a lot of meetings and looking at long lists of numbers. The office is quite simple. We have old wooden furniture and some computers that have seen better days but still work fine. It gets a bit crowded when everyone is in the room at once. Howrah is always bustling, and Shibtala Lane is no different. You can hear the sounds of the street and the neighbors from our windows all day. We don't have a front desk person wearing a suit. Usually, one of us just looks up from our desk when the door opens. We spend our time helping businesses figure out their next steps. It involves a lot of reading and talking through problems. We know the local businesses around here quite well. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or talk about our day. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don’t use big words or try to act like we’re on Wall Street. We’re just here in Shibpur doing what we know how to do for the companies that come to us.
