Columbia Asia Hospital

Columbia Asia Hospital is located over in the Howrah district. Specifically, we are near the Post Office in Pagnan. It’s a bit of a local landmark for us. Being in Distt Howrah means we deal with a lot of people from the nearby villages and the town itself. It’s not like the big city hospitals you see on TV. It’s much more grounded here. The post office is right there, so there is always some activity nearby with people sending mail or doing their banking. Our building is a sturdy one. It’s seen a lot of people over the years. We have a small team, and we all know each other’s names and how we like our tea. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. Mostly it's just charts and schedules. The rooms are basic but they have what is needed. Some days the heat in Howrah is quite something, and we have to keep the fans going at full speed. We do a lot of walking back and forth between the wards. It’s a simple life, but it’s important work for the people in Pagnan. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We are just a hospital near the post office. We open the doors early and we stay late. That’s how we’ve always done it. It’s a quiet sort of place until it isn't.
