Bhabatarini Saree House

Our shop, Bhabatarini Saree House, is located on North Ghoshpara Road in the Madhyapara area of Bally. It’s a familiar spot for many people living around here. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. The street outside can get quite dusty, so we spend a lot of our mornings dusting off the shelves and the glass. We carry mostly sarees, as the name suggests. There are stacks of them everywhere. It takes a lot of time to fold them back up properly after showing them to someone. We aren't very fast at it, but we get it done eventually. The lighting in the shop is a bit old-fashioned, but it shows the fabric colors clearly. We don't have fancy mannequins or anything. Most of our stock is just folded neatly on the shelves. My family helps out quite a bit during the busier months. We know a lot of our customers by name since they’ve been coming to us for years. It’s a quiet life in Bally for the most part. We open the doors early and stay until the sun goes down. We don't really have a marketing plan or big advertisements. People just find us by walking down the road or hearing about us from a neighbor. That's just how things work for us here. We keep the books by hand and try to make sure everything is in its right place.
