Belur E S I T B Hospital

People around here just call it the Belur E S I T B Hospital. It is situated right in Sapuipara Balli, and it has been a fixture of the neighborhood for as long as I can remember. The building itself is quite large and spread out. It is not one of those modern, shiny hospitals you see in the magazines. It is a functional place where the focus is on the patients who are dealing with tuberculosis. Because of what we do, the atmosphere is usually pretty calm. We have a lot of patients who are here for the long haul, so you get to know people after a while. The staff is used to the slow pace of recovery. We have regular check-ups and the pharmacy stays busy with the specific medicines needed for TB. The location in Sapuipara Balli is easy to get to, though the roads can be a bit dusty depending on the season. We don't spend money on advertising or anything like that because everyone already knows we are here. The rooms are basic, just a bed and a small locker for belongings. We make sure the windows stay open for fresh air, which is important. It is a government-run sort of setup, so things move at their own pace, but the work gets done. We just want to make sure the folks who walk in eventually get to walk back out healthy.
