Nalanda Matric Higher Secondary School

We've been here at Periya Mottur for a while now. It's a quiet part of Krishnagiri, specifically the Kanagamuthu post area. If you come by Nalanda Matric Higher Secondary School in the morning, you'll see the yellow buses pulling in. The gate is usually open by 8:00. It gets quite dusty on the road sometimes, but the trees inside give some shade. We have several buildings for the different classes. The kids run around the ground during the breaks. Mostly, it's just about getting the lessons done and making sure everyone is where they should be. The office is right near the entrance if anyone needs to drop off papers or ask about fees. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just open the windows wider. It's a normal school day here, nothing too fancy. We see the same faces every day, parents dropping off their kids on bikes or walking from the nearby houses. It feels like a part of the neighborhood. The address is Krishnagiri - 635001, which is easy enough to find if you're coming from the main road. We keep the place clean, or try to, with the wind blowing all the time. It’s just how things go here at Nalanda. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just a desk and some chairs for people waiting. It works for us and the families who live around Periya Mottur.
