We are over here at By Pass Chowk on Jalandhar Road. It’s a busy spot with all the trucks and traffic coming through. Mostly we deal with food items and local supplies. It’s been this way for some time now. The building isn't anything fancy but it works for what we need to do every day. Usually, we start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. There is always stuff to move and inventory to check on. People stop by because they know where we are located near the intersection. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in but that is just part of being near the bypass. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. It's more about getting the orders ready and making sure everything is in its place. A few of us work here together and we know the area well. Jalandhar Road has changed a bit over the years but our spot remains the same. If you are driving past the chowk you will see us there. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just the space for the food stocks and some room to walk around. It gets loud with the horns honking outside but we are used to it by now. That is just how life is at this part of the city. In the winters it gets quite cold near the bypass. We drink a lot of tea to stay warm while we wait for the deliveries to arrive.
