The factory is down in the Industrial Area, right near the Mata Mandir. You can actually see the temple clearly from our main gate on Bharwain Road. We deal with rosin and turpentine here. It is honestly quite heavy work most days. The smell of the materials is pretty much everywhere but you get used to it after working a day or two. Maheshwari Rosin & Turpentine usually has a lot of big metal drums sitting around the yard. We have a few machines that have been running for many years. They need oiling pretty often to keep them going. My father was the one who started this place a long time ago. He was the one who taught us how to manage the heat and the mixtures correctly. It's technically a private limited company on the legal papers but to us it feels more like a family yard. We have a small crew of workers. Some of the guys have been with us for over ten years now. We usually eat our lunch together under the shade of the big trees outside the main building. The road gets very busy with trucks coming in and out at all hours. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait it out. It's just honest work. There is nothing fancy or special about how we do things. We just come in and do our bit every single day.
