Kamal Computers

Most days it’s just me and a couple of guys here at Kamal Computers. We’re right at Sco 8-9 near Phagwara Chowk, which stays pretty busy during the afternoons. If you look for Aggarwal Medicose, we are right there near Kamalpur Chowk. It’s a good spot because everyone knows the landmark. We spend most of our time looking at screens and trying to figure out why someone’s laptop stopped making noise or why a desktop is running slow. It gets dusty sometimes with all the traffic outside but we try to keep the shop tidy enough. People come in with all sorts of issues. Some just want a new cable and others have a motherboard that’s totally fried. We just take a look and see what can be done. It isn’t a fancy place with big lights or anything like that. Just a counter, some tools, and lots of spare parts sitting in boxes. Sometimes we get busy and there’s a bit of a wait, but usually, we just chat with whoever is in the shop while we work. The area around Kamalpur has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed in this same spot. It’s nice being part of the local market where you know the neighbors. If you’re passing by the chowk, you’ll probably see us inside messing with some hardware. We don’t have any big speeches to give. We just fix the stuff that people bring in.
