Spices Eve Llp is located in Kothibazar, right within the Shanti Niketan School Campus. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a spice business, but it works for us. The address is linked to Smt Grace George, who has been part of this community for a long time. Being on a school campus means things are very lively during the day. You hear the kids playing and the bells ringing while we’re inside working on spice orders. Our space is modest. We handle mostly local spices, sorting them and getting them ready for sale. We don’t have a big warehouse; it’s more of a dedicated room where we keep everything organized. The air always smells like cloves or ginger. We do most of the work ourselves, from the weighing to the sealing of the bags. It’s a very personal business. We know almost everyone who buys from us by their first name. Sometimes we have to pause work when there’s a school event going on because the parking gets full. It’s just part of the environment here. We don’t use any high-tech gadgets. A simple scale and some handwritten ledgers are mostly what we use. It’s a quiet, steady way to earn a living. We’re just happy to be part of the neighborhood and keep our small trade going.
