Voltas Ltd.

Our place is over in Nabagram, in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. The address is 163, Subhas Nagar B-Block. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood for the most part, which makes it a nice place to come to every morning. The office for Voltas Ltd is tucked away here, and it’s a modest setup. We have the Pin code 712246 on all our mail, and the postman is a regular visitor here. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a standard block in Subhas Nagar. Inside, we have our desks, some old filing cabinets, and a couple of computers that have seen better days. We do a lot of our work over the phone or by visiting sites nearby. It’s a very local operation. We don’t use a lot of fancy words or have big meetings about goals. We just look at what needs to be fixed or delivered and we go do it. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed; we talk about local news and what’s happening in the district. It gets quite humid here during the monsoon, and the office can feel a bit damp, but we’re used to it. We aren't a corporate hub; we’re just the local team in Hooghly. We know the streets around Nabagram well and we’ve been here long enough to feel like part of the furniture. We keep a stash of biscuits for when guests drop by unexpectedly. It's just a simple life here.
