Utpal Mobile

People around here in Village Lakshmanpur know my face because I am always sitting inside Utpal Mobile. It is located right by P. O. Lakshmanpur, so if you find the post office, you found me. I started this place because everyone started having phones and they needed a spot to go when things stopped working right. It is a small shop with a wooden counter and a few stools for people to sit while they wait for a recharge or a small repair. Most days are quiet, except when the school lets out and kids come looking for cheap earphones or to ask why their apps are slow. I don't have a big staff, just me and sometimes a cousin who helps out when things get busy. The walls are painted a simple blue and there are posters of old phone models that I never bothered to take down. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so I keep a small fan running in the corner. People stop by not just for phone stuff but sometimes just to chat or ask about the mail next door. Village life is like that. You get to know everyone's business after a while. I try to keep the drawers organized with different cables and batteries, but it usually ends up a bit of a mess by the end of the week. It’s just how it goes here in Lakshmanpur.
