Shri Mahabir Crane Service

We operate our crane service from Himngar, which is part of the Dankuni area. Dankuni is a very industrial place, so it’s the right spot for heavy machinery like ours. We have a yard where we keep the cranes and our maintenance equipment. It’s not a pretty place; it’s mostly dirt, gravel, and a lot of heavy iron. We spend most of our time out on different sites, helping with construction or moving big loads. The cranes need a lot of looking after, so when we aren't working, we are usually greasing parts or checking the engines. It’s hard work and it can be very dirty. We don't have a big office building. We just have a small cabin at the yard where we keep the records and handle the calls. The phone usually starts ringing early in the morning. Sometimes we have to go out in the middle of the night if there’s an urgent job. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. People in the industrial sector just know our name and give us a call when they need a lift. It’s a tough business, but we’ve been doing it for a long time now. We just focus on getting the machines to the site and doing the job safely for everyone involved. It’s a very practical life, and that is just how we like it here in Dankuni. Every day is a different challenge for us.
