M.B.I. Mercantile Private Limited

M.B.I. Mercantile Private Limited is based out in Uttarpara, specifically around the Chanditala Bandpur area in Hooghly. It is a bit of a drive from the main city center of Kolkata but we like it here. The pin code is 712701. Our work involves a lot of mercantile activities which basically means we deal with a lot of different goods and trade stuff. It is not a very big setup, just a regular office where a few of us sit and handle the accounts and the logistics. The building is simple and doesn’t stand out much. We spend most of our hours checking on shipments and making sure the inventory is where it needs to be. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow out here in Hooghly but we make it work. We have been in this spot for a while now and most of the locals know where the office is. We don't really go for anything flashy. Most days we are just wearing regular clothes and drinking tea while sorting through the files. It is practical work. The area around Chanditala is growing slowly. We see more trucks on the road than we used to. There is a lot of back and forth with suppliers. It gets quite hot in the summers so we keep the fans running all day long. We just try to keep things moving and stay busy. It’s a simple life for us here.
